Boone Hall Strawberry Festival

The Low Country Strawberry Festival is coming to the Charleston area from April 21st thru the 24th, 2016. Enjoy acres upon acres of fun for this special event at the Boone Hall Plantation & Gardens. Be sure and go ½ mile north of Long Point Road on highway 17 in Mt. Pleasant to enter the festival. The main entrance to the plantation will not be an accessible way to get in.

This one-of-a-kind event is sure to intrigue and excite children and adults alike with the many different attractions available. The event will be open on Thursday from 6pm to 10pm. Friday from 3pm to 11pm, Saturday from 10am to 11pm and Sunday from 12pm to 7pm.

There will be festival rides which are appropriate for all ages and open all hours.  Thrill rides are available for the adventure-seeking, brave ones as well- an all-new feature of the festival this year!

Be sure and check out the silly ‘K-9’s in flight’ performance where acrobatic dogs put on an amazing show for the whole family to enjoy. You can also stop by the petting zoo and watch the pig races while you are there.  Don’t forget about the Velcro Wall where you all can get stuck in midair and the Tiki Island obstacle course to get some extra exercise in.  Jump pillows are going to be back again, too, with the largest in South Carolina 3-story slide to try out. Let your little ones tackle the playground and see the costume characters while you enjoy live music, too!

There will be strawberry picking fun available to everyone as well as contests.  The Miss Berry Princess Contest will be on Sunday, April 24th at 2pm for anyone interested in participating.  There will also be a strawberry recipe contest and two pie eating contests.  You can sign up at the event for either of the two pie eating contests which will both be at 1:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Be sure to check out some of our amazing Charleston Plantation Tours while you are looking for good fun in Charleston this summer.
